Default Leveling

In normal GW you can only get up to level 20. in Factions can you get higher than that?

No, the level cap won't be changed, ever.

The level placement is capped at 20 because we don't want it this game to turn to a grind fest.

This game was originally meant for PvP, so having a standard low cap on levels prevents level differentiability and really tests PvPer's skills to an extent.

When i started to play this game i hated the idea that the max was lv20 in this game.

but a year later or so, now i would hated if the Cap lv went up, This game is About Skills Not about how high your level is, there are better games for that if u want to grind.

Play Sacred i think there MAx lv is 210 or something like that.

This is only my opinion.

I prefer the level cap. I know people that purchased World of Warcraft (shudder) around when I picked up Guild Wars last year in June 2005, and they're working on maxing out their second character. I had my first character at 20 within the first week of playing casually. If I played casually in WoW, my first character still wouldn't be the max level of 60. While they sit there and mindlessly grind out their characters, I actually get to enjoy my game.

Agreed, the level 20 cap is actually a brilliant idea. It's such a paradigm shift from the standard uber-level character being the best. It amazes me how difficult that concept can be for some folks to grasp, even after GW being out all this time. There's so much balance tied to level 20 as well that it's rediculous to consider reprogramming massive portions of the game just to satisfy the archaic egotistical desires of the dying breed of uber-levellers.

This game is only improved by the level cap of 20. There are other things holding it back.
